I’ve heard so much great things about Laura Mercier setting powder, I just knew I had to try it out. I decided to grab this baby to see if was truly worth the hype. The powder is white in color, and is finely milled. Let me tell you, I was so impressed with this powder. It made my skin look so flawless and smooth. I have quite uneven skin texture and this powder surprised me at how it instantly blurred my skin . It’s like a powder primer in a weird way.
What I love about this powder is it feel very lightweight on the skin, it does not give that cakey feel, u get with most powders. It keeps my under eye concealer from creasing which is a big deal for me
Another thing i love about this powder is it doesn’t leave a white cast over the face , therefore no flash back. You can literally take a photo with flash without any white flashback. Isn’t that just awesome.
The main problem with this setting powder is, if you have really dry skin, it may make your skin even more dry. The finish is super matte, I would say Its more suitable for oily and combination skin. As with all powder it can be super messy, so be careful when opening the product initially and when applying.

- Translucent powder that’s suitable for all skin tones.
- Beautiful airbrushed finish
- For those with super dry skin, it can make skin look patchy
- expensive for the small amount of product
- High demand product.
- Can be sold out a lot
- Doesn’t come with a puff/brush
I’ve been using this setting powder for quite a while now and I absolutely adore it. After trying a lot of powder, this one is the best and is one I’ll continue to use. The best thing about the Laura Mercier powder is, it feels like air, it’s very weightless. It gives a feel of not wearing anything . My makeup will not be completed without it. Overall the powder is a really good product, that worth spending a bit extra for. It leave my skin feeling soft and matte pretty much the entire day. It keeps both my foundation and concealer in place, which really surprised me. Normally I have to touch up with extra powder through out the day, but not with this powder. It really does keep everything in place all day. It’s definitely one of my go to. I highly recommend this to everyone.
