Skin and makeup| order of Application
Having the best possible skin and makeup routine starts with doing it right. Just like any other thing, there a sequence you should follow,to get best result. I’ve shared bellow, skin and makeup order of application.
The first step is to use a cleanser. A cleanser sole purpose is to remove dirt, bacteria, germs and impurities. You can use whichever cleanser you like, that’s suitable for your skin type. Different cleanser serves different purposes and some work better on certain skin type than others.
If you have dry skin, oily skin, or combination skin, try a cleanser made specifically for this skn type, for best results. Removing all the impurities that accumulate on the skin is the most important step, in having healthy clear skin and flawless makeup. To make using a cleanser even more effective you can use a face cleansing brush, which goes beyond the surface of the skin. The…will give you a deep clean.
A toner is a liquid type skin care product, typically used after cleansing .Toners rebalance skin ph level after cleansing and also can be used to hydrate and prevent wrinkles. Choosing the right toner is important in noticing a a difference to your skin. Say no to toner containing alcohol and be sure to check active ingredients.
Choosing a natural toner is always a good place to start. Remember the skin is the largest organ and absorbs almost anything you use on it. Rose petals toner is a good choice, since it’s 100% natural and is one I always return.
After washing face and applying toner your skim can dry out pretty fast. This is where moisturizer comes in. Moisturizer not only, locks in moisture in skin, but keep skin soft and looking healthy. If you’ve ever notice white patches, on face after cleansing, this is due to skin being dry.
Mositurising face everytime you cleanse will prevent this. Opting for emollient moisturiser such as will penetrate the skin, ensuring mositure isn’t being lost. To use massage into skin, and wait a few minutes for it to steep in
Primers help hydrates, smooth, and brighten skin, for dewy healthy look. They are also used to keep makeup in place. Applying a primer before any other cosmetic, ensures your skin is oil free and smooth, allowing makeup lasting the whole day.
Now that you’re done with the skincare side of things, you can now move onto makeup. Starting with foundation as your base. Foundation act as a cover up, to reveal flawless beautiful skin. There are so many different foundation on the market from liquid, cream, powder and stick foundations. We all have our preferences, so again, choose whichever that floats your boat.
Concealer can be used prior to or after applying foundation. Sometimes foundation alone is not sufficient in achieving a flawless finish. Particularly, If you have blemishes or spots that shows after applying foundation, you can use a comcelaer to conceal and hide these blemishes. To use concealer dab it over problem areas and blend with fimger tips. This will give an added extra coverage. Always use a concealer that’s 1-2 shades lighter than your actual complexion.
Makeup setting powder sets the foundation and concealer in place. It mattify your skin, so it doesn’t appear oilly. When using a setting powder, you really want to make sure it going all over your face. Not just part if it.Using a bug fluffy brush, gets the product distributed easily, reaching every temple of Your face.
A good tip when applying powder is to press and roll into the skin. You want to make sure the product is going in. You don’t want to just sweep it over, believe me when I say this won’t make a difference. To not end up, looking like a grease ball try the press and roll technique. The Laura Mercier Setting Powder is the best one I’ve tried. it keep me looking matte all day long.
Add a bit of bronzer. Foundation and concealer can often leave your face looking washed out, leaving it a little flat. A bronzer will bring back the warmth, giving a warm looking appearance and dimension to face. When choosing a bronzer, make sure it’s not more than 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone. You want to have a natural sun kissed look, so choose one that within your color range. Remember, bronzer should be applied after foundation, and before blush and highlight
Use a blush to add color and dimension back into the face. Blush doesn’t have to look clown like. There are ways in which you add blush to cheeks, to give a natural finish. Don’t go overboard, simply tapping a small amount on cheek, in a gentle way, gives illusion of a natural subtle glow. Play around with different blush colors to see what works for your skin tone.
Finish off with highlighter. No glam look is ever complete without highlight. Highlighters are like shimmery glitter that comes in powder form, sticks, palettes etc.To use Highlighter, highlight the highest temples of the face. The High point of the face is where light hits first. The cheekbones, brow bones and nose bridge. Opt for a natural highlight, to glow from within.
